How do daily vehicle inspections work?
A driver completes the daily 14-item checklist before starting a route. The inspection is associated with the vehicle for that day. When another driver takes the same vehicle later, the app offers one-tap confirmation rather than asking for a duplicate inspection.
A shared record makes it easier for dispatch and managers to see whether a check was recorded, but the checklist does not replace a company’s maintenance policy or a physical safety inspection.
- Before the routeDrivers record a 14-item daily inspection in the mobile app.
- Shared vansThe next driver confirms an inspection already completed for the vehicle that day.
Where do maintenance and repair notes go?
Maintenance and repair logs live with each vehicle, keeping its service history separate from trip notes. Managers can review vehicle history without looking through unrelated dispatch records.
Easy Med Ride also places driver availability near the dispatch board. An available driver and a vehicle still need to be evaluated by your team for the particular trip; the software provides records and visibility rather than certifying roadworthiness.
- Vehicle historyReview maintenance and repair entries per vehicle.
- Dispatch contextSee driver availability when assigning trips on the day and week boards.
What about optional dashcams?
The optional DisplayRide connection can show locations for equipped vehicles and provide matched trip recordings when footage is available. Dashcams are not required for the daily inspection or maintenance features, and footage availability depends on the equipment and connected service.
